DESCRIPTION:The Department of Biological Sciences has a tradition of research excellence in a diversity of disciplines\, ranging from molecular\, cellular\, and developmental biology\, through physiology\, to ecology\, evolution\, and conservation biology. We explore fundamental questions in biology\, but many of us also address the medical\, industrial\, environmental\, or conservation applications of our science\, and we specifically have strength in two areas of applied biology\, toxicology and pest management.
