DESCRIPTION:From the inception of the Faculty of Science in the early 1970s\, academic training was illustrated by an innovative approach to learning scientific concepts combined with the promotion of teamwork. This revolutionary approach had several undeniable advantages that are still relevant 45 years later. As of April 30\, 2016\, nearly $184 million was raised to support UQAMÕs priority activities in teaching\, research and creative activities\, of which more than $32 million were paid directly to students in the form of scholarships. The Faculty of Science has 4\,000 students\, 200 professors\, 100\, lecturers\, 6 departments\, 13 research centers\, 7 faculty research teams\, 11 Canada Research Charis and 8 Innovation Research Chairs.
